SAI20- the Engagement Group for Supreme Audit Institutions (SAls)
The Comptroller & Auditor General of India (CAG) will chair SAI20 – of G20 countries in Goa.
What is SAI20?
It was established in 2022 during Indonesia’s Presidency of the G20.
The constitution of SAI20 stems from a recognition of the role of SAIs in –
Promoting the efficiency, accountability, and transparency of public administration, and supporting SDG implementation.
Promoting intergenerational equity and addressing climate change concerns.
2. Ekatha Harbour-
Recently, India and Maldives marked a major step in their growing defence cooperation by launching the construction of a harbour- ‘Ekatha Harbour’ for the Coast Guard of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) at Sifavaru in Uthuru Thila Falhu (UTF) atoll (a few miles northwest of Male).
3. Rang Ghar –
Rang Ghar is a historical two-story amphitheatre (large open area surrounded by rows of seats sloping upwards), built during the reign of Swargadeo Pramatta Singha in the mid-18th century.
they served as a royal pavilion and amphitheatre during the Ahom dynasty.
It is considered Asia’s first amphitheatre and is known for its unique octagonal shape and architectural features, including an inverted boat-shaped roof topped with stone crocodiles.
4. Violent clashes in Manipur-
recently there has been a lot of violence in the state of Manipur
due to longstanding tensions between hill and valley people. The Meitei demand for ST (Scheduled Tribe) status.
The central valley of Manipur (10% of the geographical area) is home to the Meitei and Meitei Pangals who constitute roughly 64% of the state’s population.
The remaining 90% of the state’s geographical area comprises hills surrounding the valley, which are home to the recognized tribes, making up about 35% of the state’s population.
A single judge of the Manipur High Court passed an order asking the government to consider the demand of the Meitei community for ST status. The order has been opposed by tribal groups in the state representing the state’s tribal communities such as Kukis and Naga (living in Hills).
5. Digital Twins-
It is a three-dimensional (3D) virtual representation of a city or system that provides real-time insights into the performance, operation, or profitability of a city. For example, let’s say a city government wants to develop a new transport system. By creating a digital twin of the city, they can simulate the transport system and see how it will function in real-world conditions.
India may soon join the ranks of cities and countries such as Singapore, Yingtan in China, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, etc. that have built digital twins to enhance their efficiency, coordination and governance.
6. Global Report on Food Crisis- It is an annual report to achieve a consensus-based assessment of acute food insecurity in the world.
Released by- Food Security Information Network (FSIN) and Global Network against Food Crises (GNAFC)
Key Highlights- The number of people experiencing acute food insecurity increased for the fourth consecutive year in 2022.
What is Acute Food Insecurity? It refers to a situation where a person’s or household’s access to adequate food and nutrition is severely limited, resulting in a high risk of starvation or death.
7. Krishi Mapper- Union Agriculture Minister of India launched Krishi Mapper at the National Conference on Agriculture for Kharif Campaign 2023-24.
what it is- It is an integrated mobile application developed by the Indian government for the agriculture sector. It provides geospatial data and other relevant information to farmers, policymakers, researchers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector.

भारत के नियंत्रक और महालेखा परीक्षक (CAG) गोवा में G20 देशों के SAI20 की अध्यक्षता करेंगे।
SAI20 क्या है?
इसकी स्थापना 2022 में G20 की इंडोनेशिया की अध्यक्षता के दौरान की गई थी।
SAI20 का गठन SAI की भूमिका की मान्यता से उपजा है -
सार्वजनिक प्रशासन की दक्षता, जवाबदेही और पारदर्शिता को बढ़ावा देना और एसडीजी कार्यान्वयन का समर्थन करना।
इंटरजेनरेशनल इक्विटी को बढ़ावा देना और जलवायु परिवर्तन संबंधी चिंताओं को दूर करना।
2. एकता हार्बर-
हाल ही में, भारत और मालदीव ने उथुरु थिला फाल्हु (यूटीएफ) एटोल (यूटीएफ) में सिफवारू में मालदीव राष्ट्रीय रक्षा बल (एमएनडीएफ) के तटरक्षक बल के लिए एक बंदरगाह- 'एकथा हार्बर' के निर्माण का शुभारंभ करके अपने बढ़ते रक्षा सहयोग में एक बड़ा कदम उठाया है। माले से कुछ मील उत्तर पश्चिम में)।

रंग घर 18वीं शताब्दी के मध्य में स्वर्गदेव प्रमत्त सिंहा के शासनकाल के दौरान बनाया गया एक ऐतिहासिक दो मंजिला एम्फीथिएटर (ऊपर की ओर झुकी हुई सीटों की पंक्तियों से घिरा बड़ा खुला क्षेत्र) है।
उन्होंने अहोम राजवंश के दौरान एक शाही मंडप और रंगभूमि के रूप में सेवा की।
इसे एशिया का पहला एम्फीथिएटर माना जाता है और यह अपने अद्वितीय अष्टकोणीय आकार और स्थापत्य सुविधाओं के लिए जाना जाता है, जिसमें पत्थर के मगरमच्छों के साथ एक उल्टे नाव के आकार की छत शामिल है।
4. मणिपुर में हिंसक झड़प-
हाल ही में मणिपुर राज्य में बहुत हिंसा हुई है

यह किसी शहर या प्रणाली का त्रि-आयामी (3डी) आभासी प्रतिनिधित्व है जो किसी शहर के प्रदर्शन, संचालन या लाभप्रदता में वास्तविक समय की अंतर्दृष्टि प्रदान करता है।
उदाहरण के लिए, मान लें कि एक शहर की सरकार एक नई परिवहन व्यवस्था विकसित करना चाहती है। शहर का डिजिटल ट्विन बनाकर, वे परिवहन प्रणाली का अनुकरण कर सकते हैं और देख सकते हैं कि यह वास्तविक दुनिया की परिस्थितियों में कैसे कार्य करेगा।
भारत जल्द ही सिंगापुर, चीन में यिंग्टन, दुबई, सऊदी अरब आदि जैसे शहरों और देशों की श्रेणी में शामिल हो सकता है, जिन्होंने अपनी दक्षता, समन्वय और शासन को बढ़ाने के लिए डिजिटल जुड़वाँ का निर्माण किया है।
6. खाद्य संकट पर वैश्विक रिपोर्ट- यह दुनिया में तीव्र खाद्य असुरक्षा का सर्वसम्मति-आधारित मूल्यांकन प्राप्त करने के लिए एक वार्षिक रिपोर्ट है।
द्वारा जारी- खाद्य सुरक्षा सूचना नेटवर्क (FSIN) और खाद्य संकट के खिलाफ वैश्विक नेटवर्क (GNAFC)
मुख्य विशेषताएं- 2022 में लगातार चौथे वर्ष तीव्र खाद्य असुरक्षा का अनुभव करने वाले लोगों की संख्या में वृद्धि हुई।
तीव्र खाद्य असुरक्षा क्या है? यह एक ऐसी स्थिति को संदर्भित करता है जहां किसी व्यक्ति या परिवार की पर्याप्त भोजन और पोषण तक पहुंच गंभीर रूप से सीमित होती है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप भुखमरी या मृत्यु का उच्च जोखिम होता है।
7. कृषि मैपर- भारत के केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री ने खरीफ अभियान 2023-24 के लिए कृषि पर राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन में कृषि मैपर लॉन्च किया।
यह क्या है- यह कृषि क्षेत्र के लिए भारत सरकार द्वारा विकसित एक एकीकृत मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन है। यह कृषि क्षेत्र में किसानों, नीति निर्माताओं, शोधकर्ताओं और अन्य हितधारकों को भू-स्थानिक डेटा और अन्य प्रासंगिक जानकारी प्रदान करता है।
